The decision has been made by our local branch to not only to give every resident in Walsall the opportunity to vote Green in the local elections but to also gauge where we can win our first seat on Walsall council.
The Green Party has been making gains all over the country in local elections, including in the Midlands. Taking seats from all parties, notably the largest amount of election wins have been from the Conservatives.
We know the importance of having Green councillors in the room and the powerful impact they can have when important topics are being debated and decisions that affect local residents are being made.
Whether it be the environment, workers rights, or social justice, a Green voice is often the most measured and invested in the interests of our local communities.
We want to be the game changers on Walsall council, the fresh start that's needed to ensure prosperity, fairness, social justice and equality for all, and to ensure our environment is protected for years to come.
But we can only do this with the help of our Walsall communities. We need the people of Walsall to embrace our aims, our longterm strategy and to help us win our first seats on the council.
